Bio

I was born on April 12th 2002 and grew up living in Frastanz, a small town in Vorarlberg, Austria. There I have an amazing family that gives me all the support I need. I also have a younger brother with whom I climbed very ambitiously since we were little.

I have been involved in climbing for a long time now. When I was a little child, I have always been looking up to my dad who is a trained mountain guide. He always took my brother and me outside to go skiing, climbing, biking and so on. So it’s save to say that we grew up in the mountains around us.

One thing led to another and with the age of six I started to climb regularly in an organised training group that my dad created and guided us until we stepped up into the regional team with the minimum age of eleven(2013).

My dad’s involvement in my climbing didn’t stop there and probably never will because he was the one who always took my brother and me outside for climbing which led to me climbing my first 7c route at age eleven(2013) and my first 7c Boulder at age 12(2014). That continued on to 2022 when I climbed my first 9a at age nineteen while on a climbing trip with my dad in Siurana.

Back to the competition scene where the whole thing started with the big involvement of Mark Amann the regional trainer back then. The whole thing got bigger and bigger and braught me to my first bigger achievement, the austrian title for Lead in the category U14 (2014). 2 years later I had my debut in the Austrian Cup, where I achieved a win at my first ever competition on this series. This helped me to get into the Austrian National Youth Team of which I was part until I got too old. In that same year I also got the chance of taking part at my first ever European Youth Championships and European Youth Cups. That continued on until my last ever youth competition in September 2021 the Youth World Championships in Voronezh where I had my biggest result yet and my first ever IFSC medal with a 3rd place in the Combined format for U20.

From that point onward I made the switch to the adult category with certain steps being necessary like moving to Innsbruck and switching to the austrian national coaches. I have now competed in four world cups so far and I am looking to make my steps into semifinals as I feel like I got what it takes to do so. I am trying to grow in climbing as much as I can and explore all it’s different faces with competition climbing still being very close to my heart as it gives me clear goals and challanges to overcome.

As I continue to grow I decided to move back home to Vorarlberg as I realised that Innsbruck isn’t the right environment for me to flourish. I am happy that I made this step with a new facility we got in Dornbirn and the Olympic Center there who supports me in the best way possible. Preparing fully towards another Lead season whatever it may bring, I am happy about the journey I am on.
